MLK neighborhood minutes 2/09/10

My apologies, these are quite late, but are still very important to note.

This being our first meeting, Casey, Austyn, and I were introduced to the rest of the returning members. Despite the chilly weather, the meeting was well attended. After introductions, Officer Penix gave the police report, very much better than previous February's crime reports, possibly on the account of the incredibly cold weather we had been having.
Bill Pickering discussed the Duncan Park anniversary celebration that will be held later this year. It is still very early in the planning process and more will be discussed at future meetings.
The Great American Cleanup was discussed and Austyn threw the support of TERRA behind the project.
Afterward, we discussed our purpose for coming to the meeting, as well as describing the functionn, purpose, and hopes for our class, and our hope to be useful to the causes of the neighborhood association.
